Uses Of Technology In Everyday Life
Modern technology has changed our lives in countless ways – revolutionizing how we work, live, and play. As recently as the 1990s, televisions were the height of technology in many American homes. According to the Census Bureau, a mere 15% of residences had a personal computer in 1989. By 2011, that number had climbed to 75%. Modern offices would be unrecognizable to workers of the past, due to the proliferation of emails, video conferencing, smartphones, and laptops.
Communication
One of the areas where technology has made the biggest impact is in the realm of communication. Conversing with people outside of your immediate vicinity was once a difficult process, requiring physical letters and a lot of patience. For most of the last century, professional communication involved letter writing, faxing, or spending hours on the telephone. No longer. Email is now the primary mode of business communication in today’s workplace.
Education
Computers and the Internet have transformed education. Computers store huge amounts of data in a very small space, shrinking shelves of reference books down to a single flash drive. They enable better presentation of information, making the process of teaching easier and more effective. Online education has provided unprecedented learning opportunities to people all over the world. Lectures and lessons can be uploaded to websites in written or video form, making information more accessible. All of the information you want is available and accessible 24 hours per day, thanks to the World Wide Web.
Health
Technology has had a huge impact on the healthcare industry. Advancements in diagnostic tools permit doctors to identify health problems early, improving the odds of successful life-saving treatments. Vaccines have been incredibly effective, practically eradicating diseases such as measles, diphtheria, and smallpox – which once caused massive epidemics. Modern medicine allows patients to manage chronic conditions that were once debilitating and life-threatening, such as diabetes and hypertension. Advancements in medical technology have increased lifespans and improved the quality of life for people worldwide.
Productivity
Technology has vastly increased productivity, since the ability of computers to solve complex mathematical equations has allowed them to speed up practically every task. Computer modeling permits engineers to simulate structures, vehicles, and materials to provide information on performance prior to prototyping. In the office, the ability of networked computers to share and manipulate data can speed up a variety of tasks – permitting employees to work more efficiently and maximize productivity. Technological advancements in agriculture have increased food production. In so many areas of our lives, critical time-consuming processes can now be executed with ease – and in a fraction of the time they once required.
Advantages of Technology
1- Discoveries in all industries
Technological advances allow people to find a more efficient way of doing things, and these processes deliver positive results.
For example, education has made great strides in technological advances in computers. Students are able to learn on a global scale without the need to leave their classrooms.
Thanks to advances in technology, farmers' processes that once required dozens and dozens of human workers can now be automated. This implies greater cost efficiency for farmers.
2- Cost Efficiency
Through technology it is possible to improve processes and execute new ways of carrying out tasks. Thanks to this, machines can produce the same results as humans - or even better results - in certain industries.
This results in cost savings for business owners, since it allows them to invest these resources in the growth of other areas of the business, which in turn has a positive effect on the economy in general.
3- Easy access to information
Access to relevant information anytime, anywhere has become commonplace. This has been possible thanks to modern technologies such as broadband internet.
Much information is making published and attached on online sites; many websites have original content that can be used for research or entertainment.
Small devices, such as smart cell phones and tablets, allow users to easily access information, as these computers use the Internet.
These elements facilitate access to the network and this simplifies the way in which we obtain information.
4- Better communication
It can be said that communication is like water for life: we can not develop without communication. Modern technology has developed many advanced technology tools in the field of communication.
These tools include e-mail, cell phones, video conferencing, instant messaging applications and social networking applications.
All of these modern communication tools have simplified the way humans and businesses communicate.
Disadvantages of technological
1- Social isolation
Social isolation is increasing; people are spending more time playing video games, learning how to use modern technologies, using social networks and surfing the Internet, ignoring their real lives.
Technology has replaced the old way of interacting. For example, if a user can easily interact with 100 friends online, he may not feel the need to go out and make friends in real life. Unfortunately, later on this leads to loneliness and depression.
2- Dependency
As a society advances more in the technological field, people begin to rely more on computers and other forms of technology for their daily existence.
This means that when a machine breaks down or has a breakdown, humans can become almost useless until the problem is solved.
This kind of dependence on technology places people at a distinct disadvantage because they become less self-sufficient
3 - Lower value of human workers
As technology advances in industries and jobs, human workers have less value.
Machines automate processes and can do the work of ten people with a single computer; companies may not need to employ so many people to do a job.
As machines and computers become increasingly advanced and more efficient, this will continue to be a major disadvantage of technology and will be a global impact issue.

Conclusion of Technology
There’s no doubt that technology has changed our world forever, both in good and bad ways.
In a good way, It has given rise to a civilization that is smart, connected and free. It has made our lives much easier and comfortable. Everyone has access to knowledge and information, most of the countries are democratic and People have Right to freedom and equality.
In a bad way, technology has caused climate change, It has made us dependent on it. A.I and robotics technologies have become a threat to millions of jobs. Pollution, nuclear wars and cyber attacks too are very dangerous .
After a long analysis of the major facts related to advantages and disadvantages of technology. I hereby, conclude that Pros of technology overshadows it’s cons. So, if used well technology can make this world a better place to live in.
Today life fully depends on technology
